The Mirror

The Mirror gives you a way into the Large Labor Model through your own work. Look up an occupation, examine its tasks, then compare it with other jobs and fields.

Its colors describe modeled levels of machine capability, from limited assistance to autonomous work. You can move through time and see how the picture changes under the model’s assumptions. These are estimates to inspect, not measurements of jobs already lost.

The underlying task data, sources and methodology are public. You can trace an estimate and decide what looks plausible, incomplete or wrong. What a machine may be able to do, what people will choose to use, and what happens to employment are different questions.
