25 Next
What will become of us in twenty-five years? Who will we live with, what will we work on, and what kind of world will we inherit?
25 Next was a micro-musical created with participants in a PluralArts holiday school and performed at the Deutsche Kinder- und Jugendstiftung’s 25th-anniversary celebration in the presidential garden at Schloss Bellevue.
I produced the performance from the company side: stage and technical planning, scripts and cues, equipment, participant arrivals, soundcheck, and coordination with the event team. I also hold a songwriting credit on the piece. Todd Fletcher led the artistic work with the young participants.
The piece turned the anniversary’s central question into something the participants could answer in their own voices: not a forecast of the future, but an argument about who gets to imagine it.
